A 3-day trek from Delhi to Yulla Kanda in Kinnaur, home to the highest Krishna temple in the world, set beside a sacred lake and believed to have been created by the Pandavas during their exile. The trek starts from Yulla Khas, a village known for Kinnauri apples.
You leave Delhi or Noida between 8 pm and 11 pm and travel overnight to Tapri Village, stopping at spots such as Shimla, Kufri and Narkanda. After acclimatising by the Sutlej River, you drive to Yulla Base Camp and trek 10 km (4-6 hours) past waterfalls and forest to the camp. On day 3 you trek 2 km to the temple, return to Yulla Village and drive back, reaching Delhi the next morning.
The trek needs a good level of fitness and acclimatisation to altitude.
