Welcome to Sri Lanka! We'll make our way from Colombo Airport to Kandy. We'll head to a Sunset Viewing Point, after which you can choose your own evening adventure: take a relaxed stroll around Kandy Lake, explore the lively streets near the famous Tooth Temple, or visit the temple itself. No packed schedule tonight; ease into the trip however you like!

Time to trade city streets for jungle trails! We'll head into the mountains for a full day of trekking through dense forests, streams and some seriously wild landscapes. Expect a plunge waterfall with a stunning view for lunch, followed by an evening of discovering a natural infinity pool and a cave waterfall. And instead of heading back to town, we'll camp right in the mountains. Yep, we're sleeping in the wild tonight!

(A heads-up: The entire trek is a 16 km trail. You can choose to visit just the first waterfall and turn back in case you get tired!)

One day in the mountains just isn't enough. We'll spend more time exploring the forest, soaking in the scenery, and enjoying the slower rhythm of being out in the wild. After lunch, we'll leave the mountains behind and head back to Kandy, carrying muddy shoes and some very good stories.

All aboard! Today, we'll take one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful train journeys, winding through endless green landscapes, that guarantee that you'll be glued to the door and will barely sit in your seats! Once we reach Ella, we'll visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge and soak up the mountain-town atmosphere. We'll wrap up with a stop at a cosy local café with a view of the Bridge that tourists usually don't know about!

Alarms on, sleepyheads! We'll start before dawn with a hike up a mountain trail to catch the sunrise over Ella's rolling hills. After breakfast, we're off to explore a mysterious underground natural pool hidden beneath the hills. Then we'll trade mountain air for salty sea breezes and drive south to the coast. If time permits, we'll finish the day with a visit to a turtle hatchery and some time unwinding on a quieter stretch of beach.

We're kicking off the day with a (optional add-on) snorkelling experience with turtles (because why should the fish have all the fun?).

And no, you don't NEED to know swimming, life jackets will be provied!

Then it's time for those iconic palm-tree views before we explore a quieter stretch of coastline. Think natural rock pools right next to the beach with zero tourists, coastal exploring and the famous rope swing. It's a day for salty hair, sandy feet and absolutely no need to rush.

You cannot stay in a surf town and not explore in a chill, laid-back way! You can opt in for a surfing lesson, spend time in the water or simply enjoy a slow day by the beach. When evening rolls around, we can turn up the energy with a party or nightlife experience if the group is up for it. Your call: sunset chill or dance-floor chaos?

We'll start the day exploring a beautiful coastal area known for its lush surroundings and connections to the Ramayana Trail. Later, we'll head to Galle where old Dutch-colonial streets meet cosy cafés, aesthetic shops and ocean views. Spend the afternoon wandering, shopping for souvenirs, grabbing gelato or finding a little café to hang out in. Then find your spot along the old Galle Fort walls and watch the sun melt into the ocean. A pretty perfect final evening, if you ask us!

One last breakfast, a final round of hugs and the inevitable "when are we travelling again?" . We'll head towards Colombo Airport for departures, taking home sun-kissed memories, new friendships and a camera roll that definitely needs organising.
