Before you book
- Flights arriving at Bandaranaike Airport in the morning or afternoon of Day 1 suit this trip. Book the return flight on Day 8 after 5:00 PM.
- Carry a valid passport, visa and travel documents.
- Train tickets for the Nanu Oya to Ella ride are subject to availability.
- Whale and dolphin watching is seasonal (best November to April) and subject to weather.
- Hotels: Mirage Colombo or The Ocean Colombo; Earl's City or Lavendish, Kandy; Oak Ray Ella Gap or Mount Heaven, Ella; Somerset Blue or Silan Mo, Mirissa (or similar).
Prices are per person and exclude 5% GST and 2% TCS.
Itinerary
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where your exciting Sri Lanka adventure begins with a warm welcome from our local representative.
- Transfer to Negombo, just a short 20minute drive from the airport.
- Check in to your hotel, freshen up and relax after your journey.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in your first glimpses of the beautiful island.

- Breakfast and check-out, then proceed to Kandy.
- On the way, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and Spice & Herbal Garden.
- Continue to Kandy to visit the Gem Museum & Lapidary, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic—the most revered Buddhist shrine in Sri Lanka, and enjoy a scenic drive around Kandy Upper Lake with a viewpoint.
- In the evening, attend the Kandy Cultural Dance Show.
- Check in at the hotel.
- Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Kandy.
