Drive from Gorakhpur to the Sonauli Indo–Nepal border, complete immigration and vehicle formalities, and enter Nepal. Continue the journey through scenic roads to Chitwan, where the expedition officially begins amidst the wilderness of Nepal.

Leave Chitwan behind and ride north towards Rasuwa, following winding mountain roads alongside rushing rivers and deep valleys. As the Himalayas draw closer, the excitement builds for the journey ahead toward the Tibetan Plateau.

Cross the Nepal–China border at Gyirong Port, complete the necessary immigration and permit formalities, and enter Tibet. From here, drive through dramatic Himalayan landscapes to Gyirong, the gateway to the Roof of the World, where your Tibetan adventure truly begins.

Depart from Gyirong and journey across the vast Tibetan Plateau towards Shigatse. Witness snow-capped peaks, turquoise lakes, endless grasslands, and remote Tibetan settlements as you drive through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Tibet. Arrive in Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city and home to rich Tibetan culture and history.

Leave Shigatse and continue deeper into the heart of Tibet towards Damxung. The route unfolds across vast high-altitude plains, shimmering alpine lakes, and dramatic mountain vistas, offering a true taste of the Tibetan Plateau’s raw beauty. Arrive in Damxung, surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and endless open skies.

Start early for a memorable visit to the breathtaking Namtso Lake, one of Tibet’s most sacred and highest saltwater lakes. After soaking in the stunning turquoise waters and snow-capped surroundings, drive back to Lhasa via the Expressway, arriving in the spiritual heart of Tibet by evening.

Spend the day exploring the cultural soul of Tibet in Lhasa. Visit the iconic Potala Palace, the sacred Jokhang Temple, and wander through the bustling Barkhor Street. Soak in the rich Tibetan heritage, witness centuries-old traditions, and enjoy some shopping for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

Bid farewell to Lhasa and begin the scenic drive back towards Shigatse. Traverse the vast Tibetan Plateau once again, passing high mountain passes, pristine lakes, and panoramic Himalayan views. The journey offers another opportunity to soak in Tibet’s breathtaking landscapes before reaching Shigatse for the night.

Drive from Shigatse to Tashizong and continue towards the North Face of Everest. Witness the awe-inspiring views of the world's highest mountain as you reach the legendary Everest Base Camp.

Leave Everest behind and journey back across the Tibetan Plateau towards Gyirong. Enjoy one last day of spectacular Himalayan landscapes, high mountain passes, and endless valleys before reaching the border town for the night.

Exit China via the Gyirong border, complete immigration formalities, and re-enter Nepal. Continue the drive through scenic Himalayan foothills to Chitwan, bringing another incredible chapter of the expedition to a close.

Depart from Chitwan and drive to Bhairahawa, where the expedition comes full circle. After completing the border formalities at the Indo–Nepal border, bid farewell to fellow travellers as the journey officially concludes—taking home unforgettable memories from the Himalayas and the Roof of the World.
