Booking and ticketing for India's experience hosts

About Thrivia

Thrivia is India's booking and ticketing platform for tour operators, trek leaders, and retreat & fest hosts to sell tickets, take bookings, and manage guests. Organisers run the whole trip from one dashboard: ticketing, payments, guest lists, reminders and on-site check-in.

Thrivia was founded in 2024 by Aman Agarwal and Astha Agarwal, and incorporated as a private limited company in 2026. The company is incubated at SINE, IIT Bombay, the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Our head office is in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and we work with travel organisers running treks, tours, retreats, workshops and festivals across India.

Who we build for

Trek and tour operators. Retreat and festival organisers. Workshop and experience hosts. Anyone selling a place on a trip or a seat in a room, who would rather be running the experience than chasing it.

What organisers run on Thrivia

A host sets up a departure or an event, sets ticket types and prices, and gets a page that takes bookings. Everything after that happens against the same record.

  • Payments through Razorpay, or manual UPI where the guest uploads the payment proof and it sits in a queue against the seat until a host accepts it. Bookings collected on manual UPI carry no platform fee. The pricing page has the rest.
  • Deposit now, balance later, with the balance chased from the same booking rather than from memory.
  • Instagram DMs and WhatsApp enquiries arrive in one inbox. WhatsApp runs on the organiser's own number through the Business Cloud API, Instagram through the Graph API.
  • Custom registration questions, approval before a seat is confirmed, and refund tiers set per event.
  • The guest list is the check-in list. Gate scanning runs offline in the browser, so a trailhead with no signal still checks people in.
  • A storefront at thrivia.io/@handle carrying past trips, reviews imported from Google, and a page per departure that takes bookings directly.
  • A checkout button that embeds into a site the organiser already has, on Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or hand-written PHP.

What Thrivia does not do

Worth saying plainly, because it saves the wrong reader a demo call.

  • Thrivia is not a payment gateway. Collection runs through Razorpay, and settlement into the organiser's bank account is Razorpay's, on Razorpay's cycle.
  • No bulk WhatsApp broadcast and no email marketing campaigns. Messaging is one to one and tied to a booking or an enquiry.
  • No seat maps or reserved seating. Tickets are sold by type and quantity.
  • No international cards. Pricing, collection and refunds are in rupees.
  • At a fest or a flea market we sell tickets to attendees. We do not sell stalls to vendors.

Our Mission

Running a trip in India still means collecting payments over WhatsApp, tracking guests in spreadsheets, and reconciling both by hand the night before departure. We are building the booking infrastructure that takes that work off the organiser, so the time goes into the experience instead of the admin.
