AiSensy alternatives for Indian travel and event businesses
AiSensy runs ₹1,500 a month for Basic, ₹3,200 for Pro and ₹9,100 for Premium, with WhatsApp conversation credits bought separately at ₹1.09 a marketing message and ₹0.145 for utility and authentication. It is WhatsApp-only: no Instagram channel appears anywhere on its pricing page. That is the right shape for WhatsApp marketing at volume and the wrong shape for a business whose enquiries arrive as Instagram DMs and have to end as a paid seat on a dated departure.
AiSensy is a WhatsApp Business API platform aimed squarely at marketing, priced well for that and unusually clear about where its message charges come from. Two lines on its pricing page get read wrong.
What AiSensy publishes
From AiSensy's pricing page on 19 September 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Agent seats included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Forever | ₹0 | ₹0 | Not published |
| Basic | ₹1,500 | ₹1,350 | 5, extra at ₹750 each per month |
| Pro | ₹3,200 | ₹2,880 | 5 |
| Premium | ₹9,100 | ₹8,190 | 9, extra at ₹750 each per month |
| Unlimited | ₹45,000 | ₹40,500 | 200 under fair use |
Billing is prepaid, and the plan price is not the whole bill. Conversation credits are recharged separately at ₹1.09 for a marketing message to an Indian number, ₹0.145 for utility and for authentication, and nothing for service conversations. AiSensy attributes those to Meta rather than to itself, citing Meta's per-message pricing effective 1 January 2026, and publishes no markup of its own on the page. Among the WhatsApp vendors we checked, that is the clearest disclosure of the three.
Common add-ons sit on top again: the drag-and-drop chatbot builder at ₹2,500 a month, the AI agent builder at ₹1,350 a month with 1,000 AI messages, and an Indian virtual number at ₹2,000 plus GST a year.
Two things that get misread
Unlimited Users means contacts, not people on your team
AiSensy's own FAQ defines it: "Unlimited User means that there is no limit on the number of Monthly Active Users (MAUs) you can connect with in a month." Seats are a different row, and they are capped: five on Basic and Pro, nine on Premium, and even the Unlimited plan carries a fair-use footnote capping agents at 200. If you read the headline as unlimited logins, you have mispriced the plan.
There is no Instagram channel
The word Instagram appears exactly once on AiSensy's pricing page, in the footer, linking to AiSensy's own Instagram profile. Every product in the navigation and every row in the comparison table is WhatsApp-prefixed. That is a deliberate product choice. If your enquiries arrive as Instagram DMs and comments, this is not the tool.
How operators do this today
| How it works today | Where it breaks | What Thrivia does instead |
|---|---|---|
| You build an audience of contacts and broadcast offers to it. | A contact list does not know who is holding a seat on the 14 March batch and who paid a deposit in June and never paid the balance. | The audience is a filter over your own leads, which carry the trip, the batch and the amount still owing, so the send and the pipeline are the same data. |
| Message credits are prepaid and recharged separately from the subscription. | Two balances to watch, and a campaign that stops mid-send when one of them runs out. | Before activation the panel shows the projected cost, what it consumes of your allowance, and whether the audience clears in a day at your Meta messaging tier or takes several. |
| Opt-out is handled by the platform's own keyword list. | Nothing breaks here either, as long as it is actually honoured. Meta's quality rating is what pays for a missed opt-out. | A STOP is recorded once and immediately exits every sequence that person is in and cancels every message already queued for them. The sender checks again before each send, so a STOP that lands after a message is queued still stops it. It is not a filter a campaign can be configured around. |
| The paid conversion happens somewhere else: a payment link, a bank transfer, a Google Form. | The booking record and the conversation record never meet, so the balance chase is manual forever. | The payment creates the booking. Manual mode pays your own UPI VPA with the traveller uploading the reference for you to verify; gateway mode runs a payment gateway at 4.9% inclusive of GST, and the gateway settles to your own account on its standard T+2 cycle. |
| You need WhatsApp marketing at real volume: lakhs of messages, click-to-WhatsApp ad funnels, catalogue-driven campaigns. | Nothing breaks. This is AiSensy's actual job and it does it at a price the rest of the market struggles to match. | Nothing. Thrivia sends campaigns only to leads you already have, has no ad-funnel tooling and no catalogue, and is a worse choice for pure volume marketing. |
Who should switch
Switch if the thing you sell has a date and a capacity: treks with fixed departures, retreats with rooms to fill, workshops with twenty seats. In that business the message is the cheap part and the reconciliation is the expensive part, and a WhatsApp marketing platform is built to make the message cheap.
Stay if you are doing volume WhatsApp marketing to a list you already own, if click-to-WhatsApp advertising is your main acquisition channel, or if you need a chatbot doing real work before a human ever sees the thread.
If you are weighing this against the other two in the category, the Wati page and the Interakt page cover the same ground for those products, including the one place Interakt's pricing table discloses its own markup.
Common questions
How much does AiSensy cost in India?
On 19 September 2026 AiSensy lists Basic at ₹1,500 a month, Pro at ₹3,200, Premium at ₹9,100 and Unlimited at ₹45,000, with annual billing at ₹1,350, ₹2,880, ₹8,190 and ₹40,500. There is also a Free Forever tier and a custom Enterprise plan. All billing is prepaid.
Are WhatsApp message charges included in an AiSensy plan?
No. Conversation credits are recharged and managed separately at ₹1.09 per marketing message to an Indian number and ₹0.145 for utility and authentication, with service conversations free. AiSensy presents these as Meta's rates, citing Meta's per-message pricing effective 1 January 2026, and publishes no markup of its own on the pricing page.
Does AiSensy support Instagram?
Not as a channel. The only occurrence of the word Instagram on AiSensy's pricing page is the footer link to AiSensy's own Instagram profile, and every product and feature row on the page is WhatsApp-specific.
Does AiSensy's Unlimited plan include unlimited agents?
No. AiSensy's FAQ defines Unlimited User as no limit on monthly active users you can connect with, meaning contacts. Agent seats are listed separately as five on Basic and Pro, nine on Premium, and up to 200 on Unlimited under a fair-use footnote.
